about

"Overall however, I haven't heard any sludge groups that sound like Sloggoth. Other than the different metal genres within the style of playing here, there is a unique approach to sludge metal that Jensen employs. One will notice the consistent groove that he plays, that stretches all of the way from "Loss of Control" to "Dullest Cut." There is always this sinister vibe that radiates off of these tracks, for this is some of the most evil sounding sludge metal that I've heard. Most of the sludge metal that I have experienced has been low and slow like this album, but it always seemed so peaceful, at least in comparison to Sloggoth's debut. The guitar solos, and especially the one in "Dancing Corpses," are not the usual bluesy sludge solo, but aggressive and distorted stabs at your ears. Every riff and lick speaks in a violent tongue of evil that will captivate you. " - Encyclopaedia Metallum

The thing that walks a thin line between alive and dead missteps, a toe dipped into death, arms flailing embarrassingly as the flesh reaches for equilibrium again. The organs can shut down, the skin can sag, the mind will stop its narcissistic preening and finally visualize how it is losing each day. ... more
